Established in South Africa in 1993 to serve the Traction and Direct Current market in Southern Africa. The company has evolved with deep technical and engineering skills and coupled with its intimate understanding of the traction market and heavy industry it has diversified to provide design and development services, with engineering and re-engineered solutions that are effective and efficient, increase reliability, minimise risk, enhance and extend the life of equipment.

Phendula Synergy is a major supplier to the South African traction industry supplying electrical components and re-engineered solutions, and is a large supplier of direct current switchgear in the country. It serves heavy industry - including coal, platinum, gold, iron and steel mining and manufacturing concerns.
